Things to know

Seven days across Ladakh at its highest register — altitude-aware, stars-forward, unhurried. Begin at Shakti’s Chamba Camp Thiksey with two acclimatisation days before crossing Khardung La. In Nubra Valley, experience orchard culture, sand dunes, a camel ride, and a private astrophotography session with specialist gear. Reach Pangong via the scenic Shyok route for a lakeside Milky Way shoot and a sunrise kayak. Close the journey with backstage access at Hemis Monastery before returning to Leh. A senior Farbound trip lead accompanies you throughout, adapting pace to altitude, weather, and how you feel. All permits are handled. Stargazing depends on conditions. Operates May–September when roads are open; winter departures can be arranged as Leh-based itineraries.
